The first-ever Baijiao Sea Bass Tourism & Culture Festival will take place from Nov 17 to 19, offering activities from the Sea Bass Feast to indigenous specialty exhibits and On-Water Wedding folk performances.
To be held in Nan'ao Village of Baijiao Town, Doumen District, the first day will have industrial experts exchanging opinions, while the next two will be Experience Days.
Featured will be sea bass education billboards, live exhibits, interactions with mascots, performances, spin-offs, free souvenirs and mascots, and a hundred-person feast.
Doumen-characterized Dried Baijiao Sea Bass, Wormwood Rice Cake, Water Chestnut Cake, Hakka Salted Tea, Braised Duck in Soy Sauce, and Chicken & Ginger Wine will be on display. Meanwhile, On-Water Wedding, Shrimp Dance, Shatian Folk Song, Gyotaku Art, and Fish-Net Casting will showcase the traditional culture of Baijiao.
In line with promoting innovation, coordination, greenery, openness, and shared development, the purpose is to contribute to the integration of culture, tourism, and industries, and raise the profile of Baijiao as an intellectual property town.
