Both parties said the accord would pave the way for them to jointly build the Institute of Paleontology of Yunnan University as a world-class paleontology research facility and as an important base for international paleontology talent cultivation.
They aim to make more achievements in the field and to promote the further development of paleontology in China.
Under the agreement, the CAS institute will fully leverage its resources, combine them with the disciplinary characteristics and geographical advantages of Yunnan University and work together.
The goal is to significantly bolster the university's capabilities in paleontology discipline construction and talent cultivation – as well as faculty development, scientific research and international cooperation and exchanges.
This in turn is expected to help advance YNU's premium-quality development.
