A symposium for discussions between Yunnan University and Qujing Normal University was held at YNU's Chenggong Campus – located in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province – on July 16.
Ma Wenhui, deputy secretary of the CPC Yunnan University Committee and executive vice-president of the university and Qu Hongtao, president of Qujing Normal University – located in Qujing city in Yunnan province – signed an implementation plan for joint strategic cooperation.
Both parties noted that since signing the original strategic cooperation accord in 2022, all aspects of their work had progressed as scheduled.
Moving forwards, plans are for them to take the renewed implementation plan as a new starting point to further leverage their respective strengths.
Moreover, they'll move to deepen the implementation of the agreement and continue to enhance the educational standards of both universities – and strive to contribute to national strategies and the high-quality development of Yunnan province.
In-depth discussions at the meeting were conducted on subjects such as discipline building, the establishment of a research platform and the development of talent teams.
