A cultural performance gala concert for the Yunnan University International Culture Week was held on April 19 at the Science Museum on the Donglu Campus – at Yunnan University, or YNU, located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province.
The performance featured students from over 10 countries, including Russia, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and Bangladesh – both from within and outside the university.
A variety of instrument performances such as ensembles for the guzheng – or Chinese plucked zither – as well as recitations, dances from various regions and choral performances enriched the event.
The vibrant and lively shows were said to not only showcase the colorful cultural customs of different countries, but also allow the audience to experience the charms of intermixing cultures.
