A total of 27 foreign guests – who went to China to participate in the "2023 China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Camp and ASEAN Youth Innovation Tour in China" – visited Yunnan University on June 29.
Foreign guests had an in-depth understanding of the innovation and entrepreneurship education of Yunnan University and exchanged discussions with the university’s incredible innovation and entrepreneurship project teams.
At Yunnan University, a group of innovative and entrepreneurial individuals came together to discuss the marketing of traditional folk music to modern audiences from a business perspective. They analyzed the current trends and challenges faced by the music industry and brainstormed ideas on how to effectively promote and sell traditional music to a wider audience. Additionally, they talked about the increasing rates of Chinese college graduates starting their own businesses and shared insights on how entrepreneurs can best handle both success and failure. The group emphasized the importance of staying resilient, learning from past experiences and being adaptable to changing market conditions.
Guests also visited a high-end maker space jointly built by Yunnan University and Tus-holding Co, an S&T investment holdings group established in reliance on Tsinghua University focusing on S&T services.
Yunnan University guests form a team to participate in the international circuit of China "Internet +" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition; guests from the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Singapore Management University invited Yunnan University's students to participate in the Lee Kuan Yew Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Singapore.
