YNU talks with Yunnan fertilizer manufacturer

Yunnan University (YNU) and Yunnan Yuntianhua Co, a large State-owned listed company focusing on fertilizer production, held a symposium on Sept 7 for in-depth discussions on the training of talent, the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and the development and sharing of scientific research platforms.

At the symposium, Li Chenyang, executive vice president of YNU, discussed the development of the university in recent years. He said that YNU has a long history and strong scientific research capabilities.

The university has attached heavy importance to school-enterprise cooperation and serving the high-quality development of the local economy in Yunnan, Li added.

Experts and scholars at YNU also discussed the research status of nematode biocontrol, new materials, new energy, process industry automation, and smart factory construction.

Duan Wenhan, president of Yunnan Yuntianhua Co, discussed the company’s development in fertilizers, modern agriculture, and fine chemicals.

Duan expressed the hope that the symposium would help the two sides give full play to their strengths and establish a cooperative relationship in research commercialization, talent training, and the development of scientific research platforms.

The symposium has laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two sides.
