A salon highlighting the industrialization of intelligent biosensing technology organized by the Xiamen Branch of the China Sensors and IoT Industry Association opened in Xiamen, East China’s Fujian province, on April 26.
As the inaugural event of the Industrial Technology Lecture Series, the salon was under the guidance of the administrative committee of the Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries and hosted by the Xiamen Torch Academy.

Zhang Xueji, vice-president of Shenzhen University and a foreign academician at the Russian Academy of Engineering, gave a lecture at the salon.
Zhang, also a fellow at the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, introduced the principles, processes and application scenarios of intelligent sensors. He said that sensors are essential to smart healthcare, vehicles, manufacturing and homes and that the industry boasts broad prospects.
Making an in-depth layout in the intelligent sensing industry and building an innovative ecosystem are conducive to accelerating the convergence of various innovative elements and forming a cluster of emerging industries, he noted.
The combination of bio-intelligent sensing and artificial intelligence will be a key research topic and biological intelligent sensing is expected to promote the transformation of digital life, achieving a shift from carbon-based life to silicon-based life, Zhang added.

Subsequent to the lecture, representatives from Xiamen SAN-U Optronics Co Ltd, Gopro, Zeesan Biotech and Joyatech introduced their latest technologies and products, and agreed to forge cooperation.
