Capacity improvement program for middle managers successfully completed

With 17 thematic learning and study tours to seven enterprises, 50 trainees from enterprises based in Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries completed the four-month capacity improvement program for middle-level backbones and graduated on June 8.

Lin Weidong, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Administrative Committee of Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech.

Lin said that Xiamen Torch Academy has built a tri-dimensional curriculum system at the business, team and individual levels. It integrated classroom learning, corporate field learning, action learning, and other teaching methods to shape trainees into business leaders, team activators and self-driven people.

He said through this session, trainees will have much confidence to put themselves in key positions in attracting investments and tackling major projects to lead Xiamen Software Park's service improvement and economic development with high quality and efficiency.

The ceremony was presided over by Fu Jing, executive vice president of Xiamen Torch Academy.

Lin and Xing Jin, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Xiamen Torch Group, presented the certificates of completion to all the trainees. 

Trainee representatives share their learning experience

Li Ying, the risk control director and manager of the audit department of Xiamen Torch Group, said that she gained a lot through the session. "The training mode of 'famous teacher guidance plus on-site teaching plus seminars & exchanges' and the high intensity, density, and quality of study arrangement have given us a lot of inspiration, broadened our working ideas, and improved our ability to solve complex problems," Li said.

Lin Zhixuan, head of the construction service section of the construction management office of the administrative committee, said that the professional teaching of university professors and instructors has brought rich knowledge and first-hand experience to trainees.  

Ding Libin, manager of the Party and government affair office of Xiamen Torch Investment Promotion Service Center, said in just four months, he learned the concept of building lifelong-learning goals.

Ding said he has broadened his horizon and kept the resolve to boost Xiamen's high-quality development through the study tours to Yamaha, Golden Home, Kehua Data, Constella Satellite Application Research Institute, Xiamen Science and Technology Industrial Group, Xiamen Airlines, and other leading enterprises and scientific research institutes.

Innovation proposal presentation

Seven teams in the course designed innovation proposals targeted at solving different application problems in actual working scenarios. Judges evaluated the first, second and third prizes based on the parameters of aspects of innovative thinking, practical value, implementation difficulty, teamwork, and presentation. Deputy secretary Xing Jin and Zhuang Peng, director of the organization and personnel department of the Administrative Committee of Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries, awarded the prizes.
