Zhuhai's Xiangzhou district has been selected as a Guangdong provincial pilot for the "Cross-border E-commerce + Industrial Belt" initiative, marking the start of a new stage in the integration of local industries with digital trade.
The district's printing consumables industrial belt, one of the world's largest, includes around 700 enterprises, over 60,000 employees, and an industrial output exceeding 35.5 billion yuan ($5.1 billion). Its products hold a strong global market share, with cross-border e-commerce exports nearing 10 billion yuan annually.
Zhuhai also contributed two practices to the provincial list of excellent cases. One focuses on the use of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge economic corridor to develop an efficient cross-border logistics hub, enabling faster global distribution and rapid growth in exports.
Supported by new policy frameworks and a three-year development plan, the city aims to cultivate several globally influential cross-border e-commerce brands by 2027.
