Hong Kong and Macao youths that work, start up a business, and receive professional skills trainings in Zhuhai will be offered subsidies under the 10 incentive measures rolled out by the city's Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

A one-off subsidy of 3,000 yuan ($435) will be given to fresh Hong Kong and Macao graduates that work at Zhuhai medium and small enterprises, as well as pay their social insurance for at least six months.

Those aged 16 to 24 who sign an internship contract with Zhuhai enterprises can receive a subsidy amounting to 80 percent of the municipal minimum wage standard from the government for up to 12 months.

Projects by Hong Kong and Macao entrepreneurs can be prioritized to settle in the Zhuhai Public Entrepreneurial Incubation Base, while being exempted from rent and property management fees for up to three years.

To address their financing difficulties, the entrepreneurs can enjoy a discounted interest for loans up to 300,000 yuan ($43,524). The amount can be increased up to 3 million yuan ($435,243) by 150,000 yuan ($21,762) per employee that the start-ups recruit and pay at least three years of social insurance for.

In addition, eligible Macanese that receive professional skill training at Zhuhai vocational schools, universities, and training institutions can receive a subsidy varying from 1,000 yuan ($145) to 1,500 yuan ($218) per year.
