Mulan

This ink painting-styled shadow play will bring the Chinese folk tale of the legendary female warrior Hua Mulan to the IMAX screen.

The story is that of a peasant girl from the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) who disguises herself as a man to take her ailing father's place in the emperor's army. Mulan fights for 12 years and gains recognition for fending off Hsiung-nu, but she refuses all rewards and retires to her hometown.
