Handy tax service available with newly launched app, applet

The State Taxation Administration recently launched a cellphone app, WeChat applet, and Alipay applet to supplement its 12366 hotline and 12366.chinatax.gov.cn website.

The 12366 hotline, which began operating in 2011, offers consultation and inquiry services on tax-related affairs. Callers can also voice their complaints or provide tip-offs.

In addition, the website allows users to not only inquire about information, file complaints, and report illegal activities, but also allows them to participate in online surveys, watch online interviews by senior officials, and attend online classes.

More personalized user experiences can now be realized in a timely manner through the cellphone app and applets.
