Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

The improved business environment of Xiangzhou District in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province has been cited since its Second Business Registration Service Hall came into operation on May 20.

Last August, the First Business Registration Service Hall, which integrated business registration, seal engraving and invoice application service windows, opened in the Zhuhai Market Regulation Bureau. However, the workload was overwhelming due to the shortage of space and staff members. Long queues lined up in front of the service windows, as the number of applicants skyrocketed, especially after this year's Spring Festival.

To address that, the second service hall was established on the first floor of the Xiangzhou Market Regulation Bureau, and 15 staff members were recruited to provide service. Locals can now receive their business license on the same day that they submit registration materials.

As of June, there are 162,110 market entities in Xiangzhou, up 18.59 percent from the same period last year. About 11,429 of them have newly registered to the district this year, which are expected to inject new vitality to the local economy.
