China Cultural & Natural Heritage Day on June 8 marks the launch of 37 citywide activities promoting Zhuhai's state, provincial, municipal, and district-level intangible cultural heritages. As a preview, On-Water Wedding, Sanzao Crane Dance, Sanzao Weaving and more were presented in Doumen's Nanmen Village on June 2.
Issued at the Jiexia Manor press ceremony was the city's first set of commemorative stamp sheets related to intangible cultural heritages. Furthermore, certificates were presented to eighth-batch representative inheritors of municipal intangible cultural heritages.

Zhao Chenghua was among the nominees for being the inheritor of Sacrificial Rites of Imperial Family. The Guangdong provincial intangible cultural item originated in the Song Dynasty (960-1279) as the imperial Zhao Clan paid respect to their ancestors. The tradition spread from the Central Plains to Dachikan and Nanmen villages of Doumen and nearby areas over the past 700 years.
The event was handled by the Doumen District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism & Sports Bureau along with city and local heritage protection centers under the auspices of the Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism & Sports Bureau. It raised awareness regarding intangible cultural heritage protection and showcased Zhuhai's achievements in preservation and inheritance.
