A job fair was held at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College on May 12, with 200 enterprises providing 3,411 jobs related to mechanics, construction, law, administration, finance, and software.

Among them, there were no lack of high-profile enterprises including Gree Electric Appliances, Zhuhai Huafa Real Estate Development, Ninestar, Panasonic Motor (Zhuhai), China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Ltd, Orbita, and United Laboratories.

Ninestar, a Shenzhen Stock Exchange-listed enterprise, offered a salary of up to 8,000 yuan ($1,165) per month for undergraduates and up to 9,000 yuan ($1,310) per month for postgraduates. The positions provided were intelligence analysts, securities commissioners, C++ development engineers, patent engineers, and public relations specialists.

Its recruitment specialist Chen Yuzhen noted that students cultivated by Zhuhai universities are more technical and focused on practices such as participating in technical competitions. They have a thorough understanding and cherish a strong feeling regarding Zhuhai, which makes them willing to take root in the city and contribute to the company.

A total of 2,856 job-seeking students from the Zhuhai campuses of Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, Beijing Normal University, and Beijing Institute of Technology attended the fair, and 273 of them have reached preliminary intent of employment with the enterprises.

In order to effectively improve the matching degree and recruitment success rate, this recruitment fair was carried out online on a website and on WeChat simultaneously. Enterprises can make an interview appointment for the appropriate job seekers through the online recruitment platforms, through which job seekers can also send an interview request to their favorite companies.

The job fair was handled by Zhuhai Talent Resources and Employment Service Center, as well as Zhuhai Southern Human Resources Service Co Ltd under the guidance of the Zhuhai Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, as well as Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College.
