Fifty-six Zhuhai enterprises attended the recruitment fair of the 17th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) held at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on April 14 to attract talents for staff positions.

Eight of them were state-owned enterprises that looked for more than 1,100 management and R&D staff members to fill 480 posts.

Zhuhai Aviation City & Airport Group had face-to-face exchanges with more than 100 jobseekers and received over 40 resumes. About five applicants met its requirements for mid-level management staff members.

Eight jobseekers decided to settle in Zhuhai and join Sany Ocean Heavy Industry, which received 45 resumes at the job fair.

Yu Zhijing, general manager assistant of Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics Inc, said that the company has been more active in attracting talents since last year. It enrolled three PhD holders in 2018 and was thus subsidized 200,000 yuan ($29,063) by the government.

The annual salary offered by Zhuhai enterprises varied from 150,000 yuan ($21,797) to 800,000 yuan ($116,250). Many jobseekers were optimistic about the city's future and were willing to contribute to its development amid the opportunities and challenges that come with the establishment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
