A memorandum of understanding for Ritz-Carlton to occupy the now-under-construction Zhuhai Jiuzhou Tower was signed with Jiuzhou Holdings Group on March 19.

Luxurious rooms, high-quality services, and panoramic views from a height of 320 m (3,150 ft) will be on offer when the hotel opens in a few years. Ground was broken for the 65-floor tower only a month ago. It is a keystone part of the Jiuzhou Bay complex, which will also house flagship stores, other hotels, office buildings, a marine transportation hub, and yacht club.

Marriott International, owner of Ritz-Carlton, will also introduce Marriott Executive Apartments to the upcoming yacht club in the redeveloped Jiuzhou Port complex, it is stipulated in the MOU. The apartments are designed as medium- or long-turn executive living quarters. Personalized services will be provided. They are expected to open in 2023 with 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of floor space.
