Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

A spring recruitment campaign in Zhuhai consisting of 51 job fairs has attracted a large number of participants. The event, which is currently underway, will continue until the end of the month.

Ten municipal job fairs held during the event offered more than 41,000 positions at large enterprises such as Gree Electric Appliances of Zhuhai and Chimelong Group Co Ltd.

Workers were most in demand in the manufacturing, accommodation and catering, wholesale and retail, and other service sectors. The traditional manufacturing sector showed a huge demand for workers, and general workers currently account for over 80 percent of the job market.

Some job fairs were specially organized for Zhuhai economic areas, while others were held in cities outside of Zhuhai to bring in a migrant workforce.

As of March 12, more than 18,400 people had signed preliminary work contracts at the event.
