Zhuhai launched its 60th brand recruitment event on Feb 24 to help satiate the strong demand for new employees after the Spring Festival holiday.

"Yingcai Zhuhai", the event for young talents in Zhuhai, is sponsored by Zhuhai South Human Resources Service Co Ltd and has become a bridge between jobseekers and enterprises.

The first large-scale job fair this spring was attended by 392 companies with 11,479 job vacancies. More than 12,400 job hunters took part, and 1,563 of them signed preliminary work contracts.

The Hengqin Free Trade Zone has a favorable working environment and has shown strong potential with the emergence of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Its prospects have improved since the release of the development plan for the Greater Bay Area.

Statistics also show that the demand for people with a master's degrees or higher are increasing and the supply is sufficient, suggesting the successful implementation of Zhuhai Talent Program policies. The policies were issued last April along with a generous government grant of 6.7 billion yuan ($1 billion) meant to attract talents.

A talent service platform was also launched at the job fair. People can use the platform to check specific policy rules and apply for various levels of talent accreditation. More functions will be developed for the platform, according to Chen Tao, general manager of the developer South Human Resource Services.
