Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai held the first job fair of 2019 on Feb 14 at the Nanwan Human Resources Market, where more than 1,800 jobs from 37 big-name companies were on offer.

Investigations show that there were huge labor shortages at Gree Electric Appliances, Ninestar, Eastcompeace Technology, and other companies, who needed a combined total of 8,600 employees for operations in 2019. The event was held just in time for them, as a large number of job seekers have signed preliminary work contracts with the companies.

According to a local official, 33 more job fairs will be held in the first half of this year. Strong promotions across a variety of media are expected to encourage participation.
