With red lanterns dangling along the road and flower fragrances wafting in the air, the Spring Festival atmosphere has begun to spread in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai.
Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year, is the grandest festival in China, with a seven-day long holiday. The traditional celebrations for this most colorful annual event last even longer, up to two weeks, and climax around Lunar New Year's Eve which falls on Feb 4.

As Spring Festival is approaching, decorations for the grandest traditional Chinese festival, like red lanterns and Spring Festival scrolls, are selling well in Xiangzhou's wholesale markets.

Shelves are filled with all kinds of pig puppets designed for the upcoming Spring Festival, which will launch the Year of the Pig.
