Gree Electric Appliances has achieved revenue of more than 148 billion yuan ($21.5 billion) over the past three quarters, up 34.11 percent year-on-year, and is close to its target of raking in 200 billion yuan by the end of this year.

Gree, based in Qianshan of Xiangzhou District, is the world's largest air conditioner manufacturer and also supplies other home appliances.

The company started to show blistering growth in 2002 due to implementation of the innovation strategy. From 2012 to 2017, Gree Electric achieved a total operating income of 721 billion yuan and net profit of 83 billion yuan, 1.9 and 4.2 times the figures for the past 21 years respectively.

The company expects to earn 600 billion yuan by 2023, according to a manager.

Gree is a high-profile exhibitor at the China Import & Export Commodities Fair held in Guangzhou in October.
