Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

The curtain fell on the Fifth Entrepreneurship Competition for University Students in the Lets Cultural District of Xiangzhou, Zhuhai on Nov 1.

The winning team, from the Zhuhai campus of Sun Yat-Sen University, creatively uses water-soluble grapheme to enhance anti-corrosion coatings. The project is considered to be relatively feasible and of high commercial value.

Eleven other finalists’ proposals included innovative concepts in indoor fire extinguishing systems, new media, indoor intelligent positioning systems, and aquaculture animal breeding.

The top 10 award-winning teams will be recommended for the upcoming city-level competition. Their projects will be prioritized for location in the Xiangzhou Entrepreneurship Base for University Students, and supported in various other ways such as venture capital, subsidies, and business promotion.

The competition began in July and received 85 applications from around the country.

Xiangzhou's fifth university students' entrepreneurship competition ends on Nov 1. 

Judges give scores for contestants after Q&A sessions.
