Agreements between enterprises and schools for joint cultivation of skill-oriented talents were signed at a meeting in Xiangzhou on Oct 29 and 30.
At the district's annual event exploring the future of vocational students, Ninestar, a major supplier of printing and image solutions, agreed with Qingyuan Senior Technical Institute to work together to meet labor demands. Zhuhai Titans Technology, a leading lithium battery equipment developer, agreed to team up with Hunan Automotive Engineering Vocational College for the same purpose.

It is agreed in Xiangzhou on Oct 29 to provide a platform for graduates to keep in touch with society and increase their depth of knowledge -- a benefit for cultivation of practical and innovative talents.
The signing was witnessed by school representatives from centers in and outside Guangdong Province, including Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hainan, Sichaun, and Shaanxi. Forty-six other companies that are experiencing fast growth in Zhuhai, such as Eastcompeace Technology, also attended the event.
There were in-depth discussions about which industries most need talents, the best ways to attract them, and how enterprises and schools can most effectively work together.
After the meeting school delegates toured Gree Electric Appliances and other key enterprises where they explored opening classes where students would be trained according to company requirements and hired by the company upon graduation.
The event was sponsored by the Organization Department of the CPC Xiangzhou District Committee, the Human Resources & Social Security Bureau of Xiangzhou District, and the Xiangzhou Human Resources Development Management Service Center.

It is agreed during the visit at Gree that the school-enterprise cooperation model is a necessary requirement. Schools can be the cradle of application and skill-oriented talent development for companies. [Photos courtesy WeChat account: zhxiangzhou]
