Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Guangdong VTR Bio-Tech and Eastcompeace Technology, both located in Xiangzhou District, have been accredited as National Enterprise Technology Centers, extending the number of companies with such status to six.

According to an official, the title is awarded to the professional technological innovation platforms that are considered to have the most influence at the highest level. Economic strength, production efficiency, scale, competitive advantages, technological innovation capability and R&D input are major evaluation indicators.

At the plaque unveiling ceremony, Feng Guohua, vice president of Guangdong VTR Bio-Tech, said that with this recognition it will be easier for the company to attract high-level talents from home and abroad. Feng also expressed a commitment to improving the comprehensive competitiveness of China’s biology industry.

Eastcompeace Technology, a leading provider of smart cards and system solutions, was also inspired to make a greater contribution to the industry, according to Zhou Zhongguo, chairman of the company.

The two companies are both located in the Nanping Industrial Park.
