Zhuhai Landa Compressor and Gree Electric Appliances claimed titles at the initiative Zhuhai Innovation Methods Competition on Oct 16 by winning in the Practice and Creativity groups respectively.

Competing at the Zhuhai Cybernaut Maker Space were 24 teams who stood out from 50 applicants from around the city. Roadshows and strict Q&A sessions screened out approaches that were less innovative or practical.

The event was sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Service Center for Scientific & Technical Workers and the Zhuhai Association for Science & Technology as part of Chinese Innovation Methods Competition's sub-contest in Guangdong area.

It aims to provoke creative ideas in technology applications so as to promote innovation and entrepreneurship on a wider range, according to the organizing committee.
