About 1.16 million yuan ($181,528) in prize money is up for grabs at a sci-tech competition in Xiangzhou, not to mention investment up to 50 million yuan ($7.8 million); both glittering attractions for innovative entrepreneurs.

Held three times previously, the annual competition opened on Sept 20.

The organizing committee is continuing the district's pursuit of advances in strategic emerging industries such as digital economy and high-end intelligent industrial progress.

The expert panel, competition schedule, rewards and sponsors are illustrated on a board.

Any good project is welcomed to showcase and compete in separate groups of innovation and startups. To register, just send a company profile, contact person, and specific contact information along with your business plans to zhsc@cybernaut.com.cn before Nov 15.

During the initial stage judges will review project statements or business plans to decide whether or not applicants are qualified for the November preliminary round. Semi-finals will follow closely before the final round kicks off in December. In the finals contestants will have to stage roadshows and prove the feasibility and business value of their projects.

The project regarded as most worthy of investment will be awarded with 50 million yuan, according to the organizing committee.
