Xiangzhou District will subsidize the purchase of high-end machine for industrial design and reward businesses that have had reasonable success in the field.

Those accredited as national or provincial-level Industrial Design Centers will be subsidized with 20 percent of their spending in design equipment and software in the previous year, the maximum amount being 1 million yuan ($156 million).

The fund also favors design prize winners such as the enterprises granted Red Dot, IF, IDEA, China Excellent Industrial Design, and Red Star awards. Recipients of the honors will be awarded with a one-time reward of 100,000 yuan for the most important title in a single award. Other offered titles include 50,000 yuan in one-time reward. Each company will receive no more than 200,000 yuan in total.

The procurement of manufacturing equipment, printing consumables, smart grid, high-end new information and other industrial design services will also be given 10 percent subsidy, with the maximum amount not exceeding 1 million yuan.

All the applicants should be located in Xiangzhou with independent legal status. They should have operated legally and consistently over the past three years without any administrative punishment or bad records.

Their technology and products should not be prohibited and restricted in the Zhuhai Industrial Development Orientation Catalogue.

The incentive plan was formulated in accordance to the Management Methods of Encouraging Industrial Enterprises to Expand in Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai.
