Additional schools to support youth education

Beishan and Gree primary schools, Meihua Middle School, Meihua and Tongle kindergartens will be put into use on Sept 1, expecting to accommodate 5,000 students in Xiangzhou District.
Among them, Meihua Middle School, Beishan and Gree primary schools have been added to bolster Chinese compulsory education system. They will create 4,500 more class seats.
Xiangzhou has played an important role in Zhuhai's educational advancement. It covers 60 percent of the total students in the city who are required to receive compulsory education, according to a local official.
The government has invested heavily in youth education over the years, providing a large amount of land resources and funds.
The Specialized Planning for Basic Education Infrastructure in Xiangzhou District (2018-35) which is still being compiled by the Zhuhai Institute of Urban Planning & Design will chart courses for the future growth of education when it comes out by the end of this month, the official added.
