Eight hundred meters of Lovers Avenue between Jiuzhou and Haiwan post stations have been upgraded. The ionic landscape of Zhuhai along the road has thereby been beautified and made more functional.

The Zhuhai government plans to repair and upgrade the parts of its representative sightseeing belt that were damaged severely by typhoons last year. Stretches with a total length of 4.5 km and total width 24 m are to be restored. They cover an area of 108,000 sq m.

The completed section is situated at the east-south side of South Lover's Avenue, which has always been and still is the perfect site for walks and seashore views. It is now glamorized with resurfaced roads, automatic sprinklers, and greenery.

Construction works are environmentally protective with eco-friendly landscape designs, according to Zhang Youwen, general manager of the construction company. For example, the automatic sprinklers are buried underground and can adjust to different water pressures without disturbing pedestrians. 　

Tourism experience will be greatly enhanced, thus promoting Zhuhai's image.
