Six Xiangzhou competitive firms agreed at a June 15 seminar to cultivate talents in collaboration with the local government and Jilin University Zhuhai College.

Representatives from Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment, Eastcompeace Technology, Little Cola Technology, Apex Microelectronics, Shunyi Development (Zhuhai S.E.Z), and Zhuhai Baso Cell Science & Technology signed an agreement with the Xiangzhou government and the famous college, with the aim of enhancing job-oriented training models.

Jilin University Zhuhai College, located in Jinwan District and designated the Guangdong Demonstration School on Innovation & Entrepreneurship, has maintained a high graduate employment rate of more than 97 percent for five years in a row.

School leaders stress the importance of exploring practice-based teaching methods as well as cooperating in academic research.

Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District will aid in the talent development with strong policy support and generous funding which will complement the preferential treatment offered by the municipal government, according to an official.

Yang Wanli, vice president of Jilin University Zhuhai College, regards the establishment of an enterprise-government-school mechanism as an effective means of promoting the employment of graduates.

Agreements are signed for pragmatic cooperation in talent cultivation, site training, and academic research.
