Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Goldpac Group Ltd, a global solution provider of intelligent financial services based in the Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai, scouted opportunities for international cooperation by attending the 2018 Global Service Outsourcing Summit (GSOS) held in Zhuhai from June 8 to 9.

It is the first time the summit has been held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area since it was initiated in 2011. Zhuhai was chosen as the host this year because of the rapid industry growth that has taken place in the city.

More than 650 representatives from 370 companies and organizations from more than 20 countries and regions attended the event.

Guests of esteem included senior executives from Fortune Global 500 companies including IBM, General Electric (GE), and Cargolux Airlines International who shared their opinions on the future of service outsourcing.

Pactera Technology and Kingsoft Software, both headquartered in Beijing, led Chinese delegations to demonstrate their ability to quickly undertake one-off projects sent from all over the world.

Various themed forums were held as well as face-to-face business discussions.

Goldpac is a hi-tech company providing solutions to address the diverse needs of secure payment systems that has introduced software and security products, and data management services to other businesses. The company has also introduced the concept of outsourcing financial card designs to the country, and continues to shape the future of advanced technologies on internet finance, mobile payment, smart cities, Host Card Emulation (HCE), and Identity Based Encryption (ICE). It got listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2013.

Zhuhai's service outsourcing industry has seen sustained annualized growth of 30 percent over the past five years. It has also been a Guangdong Service Outsourcing Demonstration City during that time.

Among 174 outsourcing service companies, 87 conduct transnational business, serving Hong Kong, Taiwan, and foreign companies such as Dell, Citi, and MTR Corp.

The summit was hosted by the Chinese Academy of International Trade & Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Commerce, Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, and Zhuhai Municipal People's Government.
