New residences for Yingkeng households break ground

Residents in Yingkeng Village of Wanzai area, in the Zhuhai district of Xiangzhou, will soon have more comfortable housing to live in after construction started on their replacement homes on June 1.

The old houses are being demolished as part of a city-wide effort to polish its image and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

The new housing, which will cover 45,000 sq m, will provide residents with comfortable surroundings and easy access to quality education resources and communal facilities.

The new buildings located to the west side of Nanwan Avenue and north of Shizimen Central Business District are blessed with many amenities within a short distance. Many skyscrapers are concentrated around the soon to be constructed residences, such as the Zhuhai Tower, Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center, and Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel.

In addition, residents were promised with first-class residential conditions as a kindergarten, a neighborhood center, a community sports park, and other facilities will be built for them for their convenience.

More than 90 percent of residents have signed to agree on compensation for the removal of their old houses with the willingness to live in the new departments, according to a real estate developer controlled by Huafa Group.

Taking the lead in the drive to improve living standards in Zhuhai, Xiangzhou District has already begun upgrades on Haiwan, Lixi, and Fuxi villages with more scheduled to start soon including Hongwan area.
