Xiangzhou District-based Ninestar Corp was extremely popular at the RT Imaging Summit & Expo -- America 2018 held in Cancun in southeastern Mexico from May 24 to 25, with merchants gathered round to discuss general print consumables.

Ninestar, formerly Apex Technology, is a global leader in printing and imaging products. It was the first company of its kind listed on the A-shares market with partial funding from the China Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund. It acquired Lexmark International, a renowned global laser printer manufacturer headquartered in Kentucky, the US, last year at a cost of 24.8 billion yuan ($3.9 billion).

With the successful acquisition, the company began running on a larger scale and had turnover of 21.5 billion yuan ($3.4 billion) in 2017.

The Zhuhai delegation had a total of 25 exhibitors, with more than 40 percent of the total display area. They hoped to present the overall strength of the industry in Zhuhai, dubbed the Print Consumables Capital of the World.

The expo was organized by Zhuhai Recycling Times Culture Communication, which is also the sponsor of the RemaxWorld Expo, the largest trade show in the world for the print consumables industry.
