Gree stays forever young

Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. of Zhuhai held "A New Era, A New Dream Voyage" ceremony on May 16 in celebration of its 28th anniversary at which it reviewed its achievements and set goals for its future.

Zhuhai Party Chief Guo Yonghang pointed out that Gree, a Zhuhai backbone enterprise born and raised with the development of the city’s special economic region, is now playing a big part in its business economy.

The municipal government placed high emphasis on Gree's development by putting forward the new "Talents Program" policy, which significantly motivated Gree workers. In 2018, Gree will continue to explore new opportunities to develop, attract more talented people and maintain an innovative approach.

Gree has enjoyed rapid growth since 2012. According to its annual report, total revenue reached 150 billion yuan ($23.6 billion) in 2017. The ultimate target is 200 billion yuan, with at least a 33 percent increase each year.

Its accomplishments never stop the company from advancing. Board Chairman Dong Mingzhu said at the ceremony, "2018 is a new beginning for us. Everything we have been through is the past tense now. This new era means more challenges and more hard work." She also mentioned that the company will introduce more talented, innovative, and adventurous talents to realize a series of long-term development goals.
