Updated: 2018-05-02 Print

The Elite Zhuhai recruitment program held its 58th session at the city Sports Center in Xiangzhou District on April 28, showing more popularity than ever due to attractive policies in the recently-issued Zhuhai Talent Program.

The job fair targeted senior and middle-level talent and gathered 237 competitive local companies with a variety of 5,112 jobs offered. More than 5,200 job seekers attended the event. More than twenty percent of them reached preliminary work agreements and 315 signed employment contracts.

The hottest job opportunities available for applicants fell in the sectors of production/manufacturing, machinery/instrumentation, and electronics/electric appliances.

Statistics show that the demand for talents with college training and bachelor's degrees is basically the same as in previous years, at 45 percent and 25 percent respectively. However, holders of advanced degrees are in much higher demand, which indicates that many Zhuhai companies are entering a higher level development stage, according to Li Yubo, vice chairman of the Zhuhai Federation of Trade Unions.

Consultation desks were set up on the site for legal matters concerning employment while related law books were handed out for free.

The recruitment fair was jointly sponsored by the Zhuhai Federation of Trade Unions and Zhuhai South Human Resources Service Co Ltd to introduce high-caliber talents to leading companies.

The Zhuhai government released the Zhuhai Talent Program on April 24 which is considered to be unprecedented in the Pearl River Delta. It offers financial backing of 6.7 billion yuan ($1.1 billion) to encourage talents to come to work and live in the city. The policy details have become known to potential beneficiaries around the country.
