The Xiangzhou government organized nine well-known enterprises such as Gree Electric Appliances to jointly cultivate talents with seven technical colleges elsewhere in Guangdong and in Jiangxi Province from April 8 to April 13.
The enterprises and colleges reviewed each other's advantages and discussed how to cooperate to develop talented personnel.
Major home appliances manufacturer Gree and printing consumable supplier Ninestar signed cooperative agreements with some of the colleges to establish classes bearing their company names. Such classes will train selected students who will be directly employed at those enterprises after graduation.
Corporate presentations and on-site job fairs were also held with nearly 400 students signing entry-level working contracts.
Xiangzhou began establishing the government-university-enterprise cooperative mechanism five years ago and the network now has more than 100 colleges and universities from inside and outside Guangdong.
Next, the enterprises will seek further cooperation with other learning institutions in Hainan, Sichuan and other provinces.

Representatives of enterprises and colleges discuss cooperation details.
