Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

A spring-themed poetry reciting activity kicked off at Haiyun Square, Xiangzhou District on March 24 as part of the district's yearlong culture and arts activities.

Standing against the background of the landmark building of the Zhuhai Opera House, performers used poetry to express their passionate feelings and emotions toward the season of spring and the city. 

A spring-themed poetry chanting activity is held at Haiyun Square, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai on March 24.

Xiangzhou has held similar events for three consecutive years, diversifying local residents' cultural life through giving different seasonal highlights. It features poetry in spring, paintings in summer, dancing in autumn and songs in winter. 

On top of the poetry chanting, this series also included 12 other activities such as calligraphy, dancing, essay competitions, and literary salons.

Sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Xiangzhou District Committee, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Xiangzhou District, and the Xiangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the series has become a well-known cultural brand in the district and beyond.
