The Zhuhai government has upgraded its tailored online service platform for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to meet the various demands of the increased number of registered users.
The cloud platform, led by the Science, Technology, Industry, Trade & Information Bureau of Zhuhai and established by Tonne Technology two years ago, has brought many conveniences to enterprises and related departments, saving time and labor costs in business application and processing.
Last year, 3,579 new users registered for the platform service, a more than six-fold increase over the previous year, putting the total number of users at over 4,000. The government, which had foreseen the platform's widespread use, began redesigning it last August to create a better user experience. Accessing investment and capital was made easier, and the public training application channel was simplified.
Revising the system will not be a one-time task but a gradual process. According to Li Zhong, director of the Zhuhai SME Service Center, this year’s updates will focus on establishing an enterprise information database. Designed as a multifunctional website with a more reasonable layout, the system will be able to both better serve and utilize subscribers to make precise industry analyses.
Specifically, the platform can use the database to automatically monitor the status of enterprises and industries so as to collect information and form charts indicating Zhuhai's industrial strengths and development trends, which will serve as important references for policy makers.
Service information is available at www.zhsme.gov.cn.
