The Xiangzhou District government will continue devoting land resources and funds to strengthen its competitive industries and cultivate emerging businesses.

Advantageous industries such as printing consumables and household appliances are the main driving force behind Xiangzhou's real economy. New industries such as intelligent manufacturing equipment and high-end information services that are backed by the local government have also shown strong growth momentum.

Xiangzhou has taken multiple measures to keep its economic engine running smoothly and vigorously. Some of the best land resources have been reserved for economic development and more old industrial areas will be transformed into high-end business areas.

Generous rewards, subsides, and other preferential policies are the big draws luring quality projects and brains. For example, a special fund was established in 2017 to supply high-caliber talent teams who start their businesses in Zhuhai with subsidies of up to 5 million yuan ($789,775) per team. Housing demands are also well taken care of as a construction project will provide more than 5,000 apartments by 2020.

At the same time, enterprises are financially encouraged to expand and go public. A multi-tiered financial investment system is already in place where angel investment, venture capital, and equity investment are easily accessed by companies at various development stages. The government has promised timely assistance at every step of the companies' development process. Lowered thresholds for project registration and simplified administrative examination and approval procedures have created a favorable business environment. A 24-hour enterprise service hotline was opened to help out enterprises that are experiencing problems or just want to make suggestions.

A complementary measure is also proving effective. It involves actively exploring problems through personal visits and improving responses based on feedback before providing solutions.
