Spring recruitment season kicks off

Updated: 2018-02-27 Print

More than 4,000 job seekers rushed to a job fair held at the Zhuhai Human Resources Development & Management Service Center in Xiangzhou District on Feb 26, with over 14 percent reaching preliminary work agreements.

Spring marks a high season of recruitment in Zhuhai and elsewhere in China as ready-to-graduate college students go job hunting before graduation. There are also many other applicants in want of jobs with higher salaries and better working conditions.

Those job hunters who returned from the Spring Festival vacation early fully benefited from the job fair as it gathered 180 competitive local companies with nearly 8,000 various jobs offered.

Job vacancies were available for electrical engineers, mechanical designers, salespeople, and logistics professionals. Companies including Gree Electric Appliances, Canon, and Livzon Diagnostics had taken on more than 670 people by the end of the day.

It was this year's first large-scale public job fair in the city. More are set to be held to meet demands of both job seekers and expanding enterprises, according to a staff member.
