A wide collage of various flowers including tulips, violets, sunflowers, and galsang flowers will create a festive atmosphere for Spring Festival or Chinese Lunar New Year on Feb 15.
A colorful sea of galsang flowers are in full bloom at the Xiangshan Post Station park in Xiangzhou District, attracting many visitors to feel the unique beauty of what is regarded as "the flower of happiness" in certain Chinese folk cultures.
Two million flower seedlings were planted earlier this year in batches with the expected nearest florescence being within no more than 20 days, according to managers. The floral wonderland will promote the park's appearance level. Also in schedule is a vast lawn, which along with the flower sea, has a combined area of 45,000 sq m. Construction of boardwalks and upgrades of supporting facilities have gone underway and will be completed before the festival.
Another eye-catcher is a cosmos-featured flower sea shining across the Xiangshan Lake Park and a large-scale flower exhibition spotlighting shaped sculptures made of violets, cosmos and sunflowers.
