Xiangzhou-based Guangdong Constar Construction Group Co Ltd received a Guangdong Provincial Government Quality Award on Feb 1. It is another honor since the company became the first of its kind in Zhuhai to win the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize, the top honor in the country's building industry, last year.

The integrated construction service provider was the only of its kind to harvest the top Guangdong quality award for excellent socioeconomic benefits. The other nine recipients include product manufacturers, service suppliers and environmental protection agencies.

Constar Construction Group has been integrating investment, project management, and operational services in the construction field since its establishment in 2001. Authenticated as a High & New-Technology Enterprise (HNTE) in 2016, the company has continued to update its technological prowess with tremendous R&D input.

With the wise utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, Constar has made it easier for all involved parties, such as builders, inspectors, and suppliers, to know about architectural factors through a combination of basic information and shared digital representations. Precision in building "visible" projects has been greatly improved.

To date, Constar has obtained 50 authorized patents; another 75 are under review. In addition, it has participated in formulating one national-level and 10 provincial-level construction methods.

In November last year, Constar was awarded the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize for the first and second phases of the Huafa Talent Apartment project, recognition that its building methods are state-of-the-art in the domestic industry.
