Industrial output above a designated size increased by 10 percent over the same period last year, with the real economy a main driving force. The modernization of tertiary industry such as the service industry also accounted for the progress. Modern finance and information technology is playing a bigger part, contributing more than half of actual revenue.

Thanks to intensive government support and lucrative incentives, the district welcomed 46 high-quality projects such as Borche Intelligent Equipment and 84 experts from the Thousand Talent Program initiated by the national government.

Home to 594 High & New-Technology Enterprises (HNTE), Xiangzhou ranked first in the city in terms of the number of authorized invention patents, largely due to the business-friendly environment and the aggregate effect of technology and talent resources.

Development of the intelligent manufacturing industry is on track.

Yan also said well-managed large-scale industrial carriers were another big draw, citing the key national Nanping Sci-tech Industrial Park as an example of pursuit of transformation and upgrading. The park registered a year-on-year increase of 13.9 percent in industrial output above a designated size last year with its main park hitting an impressive growth of 18.1 percent.

Constant efforts made to bolster the intelligent manufacturing industry finally paid off as the smart home appliance sector surpassed 80 billion in annual industrial output last year.
