Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

On Jan 13, several members of the Xiangzhou District Entrepreneur Association were granted awards in recognition of their outstanding socioeconomic contributions.

The event was an extension of the previous day's gathering in celebration of the association's 2nd anniversary.

The association now has 200 membership enterprises; the number is an increase of 70 percent compared to the previous year.

Among them, the members in the architectural, manufacturing, commercial, and service professions had a combined worth of around 2 billion yuan ($311 million).

Representatives of Xiangzhou District Entrepreneurs Association members that have made great contributions are awarded with certificates.

Members were reviewed for their active roles in helping modernize small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and governmental communication. Praise was also given to the constant efforts made by the organization in promoting economic exchange and commercial exchange. Another contribution highlighted was the continued support given to social and public welfare.

In their dedication to upgrading scale of businesses, the members have helped 30,000 people find employment, and they have also donated more than 2 million yuan ($311,042) to around 5000 people in need of a helping hand.

At the same time, 10 economic talks were organized while training, summit forums, lectures and other related business activities were held over last two years. With their help, many Xiangzhou SMEs have been able to overcome problems that arose during the developmental process.
