On Dec 28 , Xiangzhou District Chief Liu Qiying revealed new plans of expansion for the district during a radio interview with the FM95.1 Zhuhai broadcasting station.

An industry town of 9.8 square kilometers is planned to supersede the already cleared villages of Lixi, Fuxi and the northern part of Qianshan sub-district. The core part covers 3.18 sq km.

The Xiangzhou government will develop the concentrated area in partnership with Zhuhai Gree Group Corp and Cybernaut Investment Group Co Ltd.

Designated as an innovative highland, the town will firstly try to attract quality projects and talents by constructing improved infrastructure and high-level platforms. Plans include public laboratories, testing centers and other public R&D platforms.

Xiangzhou District Chief Liu Qiying and other officials share what the government has achieved this year and what to expect in the future during an interview with Zhuhai broadcasting station.

The goal is to draw and introduce businesses of high value from the intelligent manufacturing and high-end new information industries to make the place a future high-class industrial cluster.

Unbeatable rent fees will be another attraction, according to Liu.

Also on the offer will be apartments designed especially for the convenience of the future talents that will work there. Educational resources, medical services and fitness facilities will also be provided the town's employers.

Xiangzhou is located in the urban area of Zhuhai, Guangdong and is the economic center of the city.

The government is also considering the creation of an eco-leisure park that uses the beautiful natural scenery of Fenghuang Mt. as a foundation.

According to another Xiangzhou official at the interview, this development is part of the district's effort to enlarge production capacity with limited land resources.

Operations will be in accordance with the Several Opinions of Accelerating Upgrade and Transformation of Old Industrial Areas that was released this May.

Any issues arising from raising capital and expanding production will be assisted with help from a joint conferment system that is to be established, said Liu.

The practice is just one example of how Xiangzhou has been advancing this year.
