Students from Wuhan University, Sichuan University, Shandong University and other major institutions of higher learning around the country networked with the most advanced businesses being developed by Zhuhai's economic center in Guangdong Province on Nov 28.
Among them, 20 PhD holders and 99 graduates with master's degree from 26 colleges and universities were introduced to 90 Xiangzhou key enterprises in the service of high-tech and pharmaceutical development at the exchange meeting.
Their expertise in refrigeration techniques, information engineering, electrical engineering, and computer technology suited the job openings up for grabs.
The students were drawn to the famous companies such as Gree Electric Appliances, one of the world's largest air conditioner manufacturers; Zhuhai Titan New Power Electronics, an electronic power supplier; and Little Cola, a leading electric-vehicle (EV) charger developer. Business development, employee treatment, and career prospects were detailed at the meeting.
A representative from Southwest Jiaotong University spoke highly of the event through which their students were likely to find their ideal job after learning about Xiangzhou's business environment. The school-government-enterprise cooperation platform that has been established continues to benefit all parties and contribute to the economic construction of the district, said the representative.
It is the second time that the Xiangzhou government has organized the networking event.
