Guangdong to shed light on "going global" of businesses

Coordinated efforts have been called for planning, promotion and presentation of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Forum for the "Going Global" of Chinese (Guangdong) Enterprises & International Communications to be staged in Zhuhai from Nov 28 to 30.

The event to be sponsored and hosted by Zhuhai will take place at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center. The Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee (the Information Office of the Guangdong government) is co-sponsoring the event.

A preparatory meeting was held on Oct 26 by Zhuhai executive commission specially set up for the event and nailed down activity details and organization procedures.

Themed "cooperation, communications and value", the forum is a high-end exchange platform promoting international economic and trade cooperation with China, and especially Guangdong Province.

A report will be released authoritatively assessing Guangdong enterprises' implementation of the "going out" strategy in the context of the Belt & Road Initiative.

In addition to the main forum the event will include sub-forums, an achievement exhibition, visiting tours, and a thematic performance show.

Officials from national ministries and commissions and provincial offices, as well as international organization representatives, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and media managers will be invited.

The State Council Information Office, the Guangdong provincial government, and Xinhua News Agency are guiding the activity with support from UNESCO's International Center for Creativity & Sustainable Development and the Europe-China One Belt One Road Culture & Tourism Development Committee.

The initiative is also being backed by the provincial Development & Reform Commission, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Culture, the Foreign Affairs Office, the Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office, and the Guangdong International Trade Promotion Committee.
