Gree Electric Appliances -- world's largest air conditioner manufacturer -- ranked 190th in Forbes' first-ever Top Regarded Companies list.

There were 17 other entrants from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, which include CGN Power, NetEase, and China Railway Construction.

German conglomerate Siemens topped the list. France's Michelin Group took second position with Google parent company Alphabet followed

Headquartered in Xiangzhou District, Gree has integrated R&D, sales and service with the largest air-conditioner production scale in the world. The company presently has products in 400 series in 20 categories with more than 12,700 different specifications. About 80,000 employees are at work. The wide variety of products, along with a complete industrial chain and mature supporting facilities, has helped the business double its clout.

The list is based on Forbes' 2017 Global 2000 rankings, a partnership evaluation task undertaken with Statista, an online statistics, market research and business intelligence portal.

The selection assembled companies from 58 countries with total revenues of $35.3 trillion. Respondents were evaluated based first on trustworthiness or honesty, and then on social conduct, employee relations and the performance of the company's product or service.

The US and Japan dominated the list with respectively 61 and 42 companies included.
