Ten measures to back up development of the real economy highlighting manufacturing industry have been passed by an executive meeting of Zhuhai government on Oct 10, Zhuhai Daily reported.
The move came out at a time when the city is striving to boost its local manufacturing industry. "Zhuhai will focus on revitalizing its local real economy while prioritizing the manufacturing industry," emphasized the government working report released earlier this year.
It underscores cost reductions in taxation, land using, social insurance, gas and electricity, transportation, financing and institutional transaction, coupling with governmental support for vitalizing land resources, development of emerging manufacturing industries, and technological improvement.

The new measures target core aspects of the manufacturing enterprises, such as operations, taxation, and business environment, aiming to create a better environment to stimulate the growth of entity economies in the city.
In the recent years, the southern Chinese city has been putting efforts to boost local real economies, and has achieved positive results.
On Sept 26, Zhuhai government organized a training meeting during which various bureaus and departments involved took part to give presentations of the measures and collect opinions and suggestions from 1,000 officials and enterprise representatives.

Statistics also revealed that during the first eight months, the city has cut down enterprise costs by 6.17 billion yuan, registering the value-added industrial output of industries above designated size at 74.92 billion yuan, up by 11 percent compared to the same period last year.
The new measures will lead Zhuhai's manufacturing industry to ever-growing prosperity, local media reported.
